Alicia Warrington
This 26 year old professional drummer from Saginaw, Michigan picked up a guitar at age 10 and the sticks at age 12. Alicia had a love for music from very early on. Her mother bought her a children's guitar and drumset when she was only 4 years old. When she was 12, she discovered her uncle's massive 16-piece Ludwig drumset in his basement. She taught herself to play along to tapes of her favorite 80's hair metal bands.
Alicia has played with bands of many different genres including, pop, rock, R&B, funk, and even death metal. In fact, in her first couple of bands, Purgatory and D.T.M, she handled the thundering double-bass drumming as well as the vocals. In 2001, Alicia packed her car and moved by herself to Los Angeles. While on the westcoast, she played with The Otterpops and Maps to Great Speed, before joining Ozzy's little pop-princess of darkness, Kelly Osbourne, in 2002.
While playing with Ms. Osbourne the past 3 years, Alicia has lived her dream of performing on television and music award shows including performances on the Tonight Show and the 2003 American Music Awards. She has showcased her talent in over 13 countries and has performed to crowds of up to 135,000 people. As of August 2005, Alicia joined Maverick / Warner Bros. Recording artists, Lillix, a Canadian Pop-Rock group from British Columbia.
We think chick drummers (and chick bass players) are cool. Alicia is the coolest, no question.

Axis of Evil Comedy
"The Axis of Evil Comedy" show is a stand-up performance by Iranian-American Maz Jobrani, Egyptian-American Ahmed Ahmed, and Palestinian-American Aron Kader. With their bitingly philosophical, incisive, and side-splittingly funny, take on today's most salient topics like the Iraq war, terrorism, profiling, and detentions, this internationally renown completed the first leg of their US tour in July of 2007, and will embark on the next leg in early September 2007. "I am only making a cookie -- no bomb, just a cookie." -- Much respect to my boys Maz, Ahmed, and Aron.

COMBAT ROCK PROMOTION
A tremendously respected and effective independent radio promotion company, fronted by Mr. Lenny Lasalandra, an equally honorable and classy gentleman who will tell it to you straight if your suit-dweeb mind may be mistaken about the "radio-friendliness" of a band or artist you may be considering for representation ("dude, walk away. . ."). Formerly at Interscope Records, Lenny now has his own company: Combat Rock Promotion. Appropriately, Lenny's favorite band is also The Clash, and, of course, any fan of the clash is . . uh, we are the fan of too.
ELAN
For three and a half years--between 1997 and 1999--Elan was the lead singer for the legendary Wailers. . . as in "Bob Marley and the.. . ". Night after night, in front of thousands, Elan sang the words that Bob Marley had written and popularized with--as those thousands and the Wailers themselves will testify--stunning authority and authenticity. At first, people frequently thought he was lip-synching to Marley's vocals; later, many, including people in Jamaica, assumed he was one of Marley's children. Even Carlos Santana once mistook his voice as being a tape recording of Marley.
However, LIONS are as solitary as they are pride members. . . so, naturally, Elan released his supremely masterful solo debut reggae album, "Together as One" in 2006, executive produced by No Doubt's Tony Kanal and featuring some of the most amazing musicians and producers in Jamaican reggae culture: Sly & Robbie, Fatis, Steve Lenky Marsden, Tony Kelly and DJ legend Cutty Ranks among them. The album was recorded between Jamaica, Miami and Kanal's Los Angeles studio.
Now Splitting his time between The Wailers and his own career, Elan is prolific with other artists. Look for a 2008-2009 release with France's Junior Caldera, and. . . in 2009, the new Wailers record will make history (and that's all we can say for now about the latter).
We were true TRUE fans of Elan before we were his counsel, and having him on this list gives us the pride of Lions.
El Cartel Records
Home to the Reggaeton superstar, Daddy Yankee, El Cartel is at the forefront of the Reggaeton movement; they have recently (as of April 2007) released Miguelito, another reggaeton mini-superstar in the making. We handle the digital music aspect of El Cartel, and we are muy grande fans.
Evan Dando / The Lemonheads
When the Lemonheads' "IT'S A SHAME ABOUT RAY" was released in 1992, lead singer Evan Dando's tart, literate alt-pop came together in a way that made it the Boston-based band's major breakthrough. UK music journal NME wrote, "...Dando is at last emphatically his own man - and the results fall barely short of the miraculous." Rolling Stone has called the disc a, "bubble-grunge classic...a seamless listening experience."
Rhino's COLLECTOR'S EDITION. Audio Disc 1 presents the original album including the signature songs "My Drug Buddy," "Allison's Starting To Happen," the title track and The Lemonheads' hit cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson." A hefty ten bonus tracks include "Shaky Ground" plus nine previously unreleased demos, among them "It's A Shame About Ray," "My Drug Buddy," "Confetti" and "Ceiling Fan In My Spoon."
If it's ever possible to physically wear out a CD from playing it so much, I think we have come the closest with "ITS A SHAME ABOUT RAY". It's an honor to have this seminal band our client spotlight page.
F E A R - Lee Ving
F E A R is one of the original seminal US Punk bands. I first saw them play when I was 13, in a warehouse, in Fresno, California; I was in 9th grade. When I became a lawyer, I received a call from LEE VING. . . I thought it was one of my gritty punk friends playing a dumb joke. . . so naturally I asked some questions, and it was indeed him. We are humbled.
The Films
The Films create a sound similar to (in their own words) "what you might hear if the Beatles' White Album asked Weezer's Pinkerton to come over for a few drinks and then spent the night dancing to The Smiths' 'Strangedays, Here We Come'." Listen to some of their rockin' tracks on the Films' Myspace.com page. If our "most played" list on our iPod is any indication, the Films as a matter of fact, rule. We are still awaiting their long-promised but as-yet forthcoming music clip for the opening flash sequence of this site.

Heavyweight Dub Champion
FREEDOM, LIBERATION, MUSIC !! Meticulously and painstakingly crafted during a 7-year incubation period in the mountains of Colorado (Gold Hill - population 209), Heavyweight Dub Champion is not just a musical collective, it is a FORCE of ancient ritual mixed with modern technology. Their upcoming release "Rise of the Champion Nation" features multiple tracks with KRS ONE, Killah Priest, Dr. Israel, A.P.O.S.T.L.E., Stero Lion, Elf Tranzporter, Wailer B, Lady K, and others. All music is created from scratch by the sonic shamanistic alchemists: Resurrector, Patch, and Totter Todd, possibly the only three non-jamaicans on this planet that can sport dreadlocks without looking like complete fools.
We "found" HDC when they pummeled 12,000 unsuspecting fans (ourselves included) with a 90-minute torrential onslaught of the most intense fat grooves and masterfully delivered conscious rhymes during the 2006 Reggae On The River festival in Humboldt County (you can see a low-fi 'doesn't-do-it-any-justice" clip here: BIG-UPS. We are repeatedly fascinated by this astounding team of remarkable artists, both for their music, as well as their character. The Liberation Process is in Full Effect, and we are honored to be part of the Last Champion Revolution.
Helly Hansen -- Wintersports

Their use of music in their marketing campaigns makes us proud to render services to them, and count them on our client list. Oh, and we're not just their suit dweeb lawyers, we also happen to actually sport Helly Hansen duds whilst purveying much shreddage on the slopes, braah.
Don Ho
April 14, 2007 - This is a sad day for us. We have lost a legend, and a valuable human being. Our condolences to the Ho family and fans. Our hearts and minds are with you.
Hawaii's greatest superstar, and a renown cultural icon, whose illustrious career has spanned through five decades. From his numerous TV guest appearances with Johnny Carson, Joey Bishop and Art Linkletter, and his own hour-long color TV special--not to mention a clutch of best-selling albums for Reprise records, for over 40 years Don Ho has been entertaining in Waikiki, sharing the spirit of Aloha and introducing to audiences from all over the world some of Hawaii's best entertainers. We are honored, privileged, and humbled to represent this legendary gentleman. Much respect sir (head bowed).
Maz Jobrani
I'ma need a job.
Maz Jobrani has played many characters in flim and televison. Most recently, he played Gourishankar P.V. Subramamiam, an Indian lawyer turned NY cab driver who took part in the plot to rob Mick Jagger in the ABC sitcom "Knights of Prosperity." Prior to that he was best known for his big screen role as "Moly" in Ice Cube's "Friday After Next." Jobrani was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he caught the acting bug after portraying the lead in his eighth grade production of "Li'l Abner." He studied theater throughout high school, then went on to earn a BA in Political Science and Italian at UC Berkeley. In the fall of 1994, while beginning a Ph.D. program in Political Science at UCLA, he visited the university's prestigious theater program and was immediately hooked back on acting. Sara Haze
(from ASCAP's "Playback" magazine, October 2006):
Raised singing gospel and R&B in church since she was 5, Sara Haze has a voice some "in the know" have dubbed "The Beautiful Pain." A unique rock artist, Sara writes songs that address the pressure of growing up in the modern teenage world. Her stories draw from real life experiences at home and with friends, some of whom she has lost. Hearing Sara sing "Now I Understand " or "Wash You Away " listeners know her stories are true. Sara is currently in the studio recording masters with Rob Hoffman and Heather Holley of Elicit Productions. Elicit has written and or produced songs for Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Quincy Jones, Etta James and many other top recording artists. In the past year Sara has had over 30 placements of her songs in television shows. Sara also recently performed this season's theme song to The Simple Life.
Sara is also currently filming concert footage and interviews with a well known music-based reality show production company. She will be featured in a television show about the amazing amount of work, auditions, showcases on her rise to the top.
Ms. Haze has the pipes, the words, and the instinct, and we are honored to represent her.

Mike Stinson
- . .one of Los Angeles' best kept musical secrets. -- from The Los Angeles Times :: December 18, 2003 :: by Robert Hilburn :::
BEST COUNTRY-WESTERN BAND IN L.A. (Los Angeles Magazine's "Best of L.A. Issue, August 2004)
Mike Stinson's "Late Great Golden State" from his 2002 debut, Jack Of All Heartache, was covered by Dwight Yoakam and should be California's official anthem. "Tomorrow's Gonna Hurt" from Stinson's new album, titled The Last Fool At The Bar, shows there are more instant classics where that came from. Backed by the sublimely cool former X guitarist, Tony Gilkyson, Stinson's rollicking sets may not offer blood but have plenty of sweat and beers. Tremendously talented, and even a bigger gentleman, Mike humbles us with each listen to his amazing songs.
Original Productions / Amygdala Music

Amygdala Music is Original's music arm, which boasts a catalog of about 5,000 cues (making up the majority of Originals' music you hear on their shows). Oh. . . and they have the coolest offices in the world, hands down.
Powerman 5000
With their recent "Destroy What You Enjoy" on the erstwhile label DRT Entertainment in 2006, Powerman 5000 marked the beginning of yet another mindbending chapter in the story of a band that thrives and grows stronger with each passing rock 'n roll cataclysm. The album was produced by Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack), who also co-produced the bands major label debut, MEGA!! KUNG FU RADIO, and mixed by Dave Schiffman (Audioslave, Johnny Cash, System of a Down). Powerman 5000 practically created and defined their own genre; they have seen bands come and go, and have survived major-label "re-shifting" throughout the years. Through it all, the result has always been loud, obnoxious, uncompromising rock 'n roll. We think they rule, simple as that. m/
pilotdrift
From Texarkana, TX, Pilotdrift is the first artist signed to Good Records Recordings -- Tim DeLaughter and Julie Doyle of the Polyphonic Spree's label. Tim and Julie, who also own the Dallas retail store Good Records discovered the group when their first self-released CD "Itere Facere" drifted onto the store's shelves. Pilotdrift have drawn comparisons to Muse, Mercury Rev, Radiohead and the Flaming Lips for their powerful, atmospheric rock and skillful use of instrumentation (from the accordion to the zither). Having cracked the Top 40 on CMJ's A.I.M.S. chart and playing SXSW earlier this year, the band will release their Good Records debut, Water Sphere, on September 20. We are still awaiting their invitation to take us fishing.
Rachel McGoye
Classically trained with a Professional Music degree from Berklee College of Music, Rachel Leigh McGoye has spent the last 4 years infiltrating the Los Angeles music scene. Expected it is, to be compared to other artists, but with such a unique sound, Rachels comparisons range anywhere from Dido, Fiona Apple and Paula Cole to Alicia Keys and Sade. As a songstress, songwriter, and performer, Rachel's influences are an ecletic mix stemming from her exposure as a child to roots and rock music to her own love of folk and r&b music. In November of 2006 Rachel McGoye independently released her first Acoustic E.P titled 'What Day is it?', which immediately attracted the attention of indie labels. " This album is the soundtrack to the last 4 years of my life in L.A. and I'm just soaking in where I've been and what lies ahead." In Spring 2007 Rachel McGoye plans on hitting the road with her band touring the U.S, and also recording an extended fully produced version of the songs from 'What day is it' along with a few others.

With Help from Mike Hartnett (lead guitar) a veteran on the Atlanta studio session scene (Pink, Bubba Sparxx, Cee-Lo) and Billy Hume producer /engineer exdordinare (David Banner, Bone Crusher, Lil John N the east side boyz). Look for "legendary" and "groundbreaking" in the album reviews. . . Danny is an undeniable talent and a way cool cat, with superhuman rhyming skills.
Run Run Run
RUN RUN RUN is Xander Smith (vocals/guitar),Doug Palmer (guitar), Nic Speck (bass), and Daniel Dod (drums/vocals) Three-plus years ago Xander Smith left his mothers kitchen in LA (where most of his songs start) and journeyed to Joshua Tree, Callifornia. Highly recommended by his friends in Queens of the Stone Age, their Desert Sessions CD caught the spirit of the desert and the landscape and atmosphere that shaped and impacted their music. Xanders own journey resulted in the recording of songs with producer Fred Drake (QOTSA, Mark Lanegan, Earthlings?) Billboard Magazine anointed them Los Angeles favorite psychedelic rockers. Favorable reviews from LA Weekly and LA Times drew further attention to the band, and their high-energy live show kept them in front of packed clubs and landed them many support slots for profile national headlining bands.
